the virtual vent of a lateral thinker

This really made me smile this morning. Its a really great piece of interaction design / copywriting, as it “humanises the inhuman”. I was almost thinking ahhh… does flickr need turning on its head? does it need a bit of a fright? You also click so much on the internet you forget you’re doing it, and this actually seems to make you stop and think for a second (again something you rarely do on the internet).

Faced with a standard error message, I would probably be mildly annoyed at not being able to carry out the task I had intended, but this little gem provided enough of a distraction to make me totally forget what I was going to do on flickr in the first place, and write a blog post. Good job.
